America’s Best is an eyewear office with hundreds of locations all over the country. In McAllen, the optometrist is found North 10th Street, Suite 600, McAllen, TX. Patients get an initial eye exam before they get a prescription. They get to choose eyewear from major brands such as Gucci, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Ray-Ban, bebe, DKNY, Nike, and Vera Bradley. All these top brands are sold at prices that favor the patient’s budget. Hard and soft contact lenses are also prescribed and sold at the outlet.
They we’re awsome. The whole team was amazing the atmosphere was calm and simple it made you feel at home you had quick service and they answer all your questions. They taught me how to put on contacts and it took me only 5 min to learn they we’re great and patient with me. And after the great customer service you still have great deals I got my exams 2 pairs of glasses and became a 3 year member with them for like $150.00 the last place I went to they charged me $250 for my glasses(1) and exam and they had bad service. I will definitely recommend this place economically because no one wants to spend a lot and for a great experience.

Super fast & friendly! I’ve been to many optometrists, and never have been in and out in 30 minutes! Usually doctors do eye exams only, but this optometrist was very patient and taught my daughter how to apply contacts for the first time. Also, we didn’t have to wait a week and try a trial pair and come back. Instead, they gave us six months supply and a prescription was released the same day as eye exam. Loved that they were open on Saturdays too!
Was in and out on a Saturday afternoon, with no appointment, in 45 minutes. The optometristt was quick and fast, almost resembled an assembly line, which was 100% fine with me. Got my prescription of contacts and glasses and was way more affordable than going to the mall optometrist on the weekend. Definitely reccomend. I seriously found my new go-to place for optics. If you dont have time to be waiting around, then this is the place to go.

I have been going to Dr. Olivarez for a few years now. When I began having some issues, I sincerely appreciated how thoroughly he evaluated the possibilities and worked to rule out possible serious diseases of the eye. He is knowledgeable and friendly. I would never trust something as valuable to my eyes to just anyone. I do trust them to him.

Dr. Gary L. Ahlman started Edinburg Vision Center in 1968 and is the oldest eye clinic in all of Edinburg. Dr. Luis Navarro took over after he purchased the practice from Dr. Ahlman in 2009. Over time the vision center has evolved its services and products to match emerging market trends and technologies. The services provided include glaucoma diagnosis and treatment, pediatric eye exams, red/pink eye treatment, presbyopic eye exams, contact lens fitting, diabetic eye exams, frame lines, sunless magnetic, clip-on, panoramic retinal imaging, and specialty contact lenses.
The staff is awesome and the doctors are superb. Every time I have gone I have always been treated very well. They also have a great selection for glasses to choose from which is also a plus. Thank you EVC for always providing the best customer service!
Love the staff. Daniel attended me really good including all the staff. The drs are amazing and explain everything clearly with knowledge. I would recommend anyone to Edinburg vision center my daughter goes here as well and the staff is awesome.
Nolana Eye Care owned and headed by Dr. Vanessa L. Chang who has been in practice since 1980. She graduated from the University of Houston with a Doctorate of Optometry in 1980. The office's services include comprehensive eye exams, diagnoses and treatment of minor ocular diseases, color vision screening, corneal topography, visual field testing, diabetic and hypertensive dilated eye exams, and corneal topography. Dr. Chang is a member of the Texas Optometric Association, Rio Grande Valley Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Chang was Amazing!!! When you schedule an appointment with her, it is exactly that! She takes her time with exams and even helps selecting glasses! She was so patient and wonderful with my 4 year old. She is truly invested in her patients best interest!!!
Very patient and nice doctor. She took her time to find lenses AND contact lense solution to fit me comfortably. Didn't hesitate to do several trial pairs until we found perfect fit. I've been to other eye doctors where i felt rushed and sent home with lenses that weren't comfortable. This week be my 3rd year and I'll continue to go here for great treatment and friendly staff.
Dr. Landon Liska is the owner of the private practice based on 5801 North 10th Street Suite 200, McAllen, TX. The facility also has two other locations in Harlingen, TX. The team at the office ensures all the needs of the patients are taken care of by giving personalized attention to each patient. Dr. Landon provides eye exams for glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. The optometrist also prescribes contact lenses, glasses, and pre-and post-operative care.
Super friendly and helpful. The staff explained what was/was not covered by my insurance and even explained what each test was testing. The doctor was super nice. This is my new family doctor for sure!
