When I dropped off my dog for vaccinations and boarding, the excellent service continued. I felt confident that my dog would get the care he needed. He was there 6 days and when I picked him up he was clean and very happy. Three days later I dropped him off for overnight boarding. He got out of the car and joyfully went right in as if he had arrived to a party given for him. A few days later I received a very warm card thanking me for choosing Haywood Road Pet Motel. I cannot say enough about this place and wish I had found them two years ago when I first moved here.
I like the fact that the dogs can mingle in the fenced yard to provide socialization. I also feel assured that a veterinarian checks the animals each day. The aides who feed and play with the dogs & cats are so kind and can feed any pet specialized food if necessary. The staff is very very kind to both pets and their owners! Great service with no issues, took a gato to this motel location and they were able to work in his vaccine shot at the adjacent Animal Hospital and board him until I got off work. Exceptionally friendly and efficient staff.

The staff is always friendly and prices are competitive. For grooming you don't have to make an appointment. Just have your pet there by 9:30 and they will call you when its ready. The only complaint I have is, and it may be petty, but when I take my dog for grooming, he still smells like a dog when I pick him up. I can tell by his coat that he is bathed but he doesn't smell as fresh by the time I pick him up...This is not the case with Pet Smart.

I spent a great deal of time looking for facility to board my two small rescue dogs Bob and Bitsy. Tail Lights Dogs was recommended to me by a local trainer. I called for an appointment and toured the facility after the day campers had left for the day. I was relieved my dogs got their first introduction to people rather than unfamiliar dogs. When I walked through the boarding area I found it to be a home like atmosphere. cozy rooms, soft lights and music and I was amazed at how nice it smelled. Safety and well being of my dogs are at the top of the list. I was again relieved to know they have 24/7 security monitoring system, On-call veterinarian as well as overnight staff. Bob my 9 lb poodle can be insecure in a new environment. I was assured Playtime is always supervised and only with other small dogs. The first time they boarded I was told to go to the website that night and check out the photos. It made me happy to see their little smiling faces and my Bob sitting on the lap of one of the staff. The only thing that concerned me at that point is whether they would want to come home. I have been boarding my dogs at tail lights since they first opened in 2011 and would not consider boarding them anywhere else.

They are very knowledgeable and will provide a full range of care options with pros and cons of each, but they won't push for anything unneccessary, or anything that is outside the pet owners comfort zone. They have helped us through my pup's very serious medical condition when another vet said they didn't feel comfortable treating him. We have been to three or four vets in the upstate in the years we've lived here and Hollytree is by far the best we've been to. After coming to Hollytree we won't be going anywhere else!
This was my first visit to a vet in over 10 years, and boy was I shocked by the cost! My cat's visit cost more than MY annual physician check-up with blood draws. She did have several labs, and was treated for an infection. I won't hold the cost against them though, as I don't have other bills to compare against. The staff of Holly Tree Animal Hospital was fantastic, and it was immediately apparent that they all cared very much for their animal patients, and loved their work (they were also very warm and welcoming to this human). Dr. Bale, only there on Thursdays, was very patient and informative. A+
