After living in the Portland area for 12 years, Aybla still has the best gyros and the best hummus I've found anywhere in town. Yes, in its food carts. None of the sit-down Middle Eastern restaurants I've tried are as good. At the cart at SW 10th and Alder, I once heard the chef/owner describing to another customer how they make the hummus themselves. It is really worth trying. And the lamb gyros are just the best ones I know in this area.

We were so happy with our choice to have Divine Catering cater our wedding reception. All our guests have since commented on how wonderful the food was, some even saying it was the best they had ever had at a wedding. The staff, led by T, were friendly and very well organized. They were on time and very adaptable to our shifting schedule, making sure guest needs were met. Not only was their service in providing dinner and dessert great, but their cleanup was efficient and subtle - never interfering with what was going on with the party. Very smooth operation.
Divine catered my wedding recently, and they were a pleasure to work with. They offered a variety of clearly priced packages that made it easy to compare what we could get at different price points--a very, very big difference from other wedding caterers we looked at! I also really appreciated the lack of upselling when we decided on a relatively modest package. They quickly and efficiently responded to all of my email inquiries before the event and were responsive to our needs. On the day of the wedding, their staff was professional, efficient, and reliable. The food was tasty and many of my guests complimented it. I would highly recommend them for a similar event.

I went here with a party of 7 with no reservation on a Friday night. They were so warm and friendly to us and we were seated and served promptly. The food came out perfect, everyone was very happy with their dishes. They had a great selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. I don't drink alcohol much and it's nice to be able to order something besides soda or water. I look forward to returning to Habibi with more family and friends!
First time eating Mediterranean food and I will definitely be going back! My experience was beyond my expectations. It was a very chill and welcoming environment. The flavors were out of this world! The growth of Nicholas Restaurant has been phenomenal since 1995 with its current three branches. The family-owned business has been serving the citizens of Portland with Lebanese cuisines and was the first of its kind in the locality. It caters for all sorts of events including business meetings, weddings, and even graduation ceremonies. Their Middle-eastern delicacies are authentic and prepared from freshly-produced local food ingredients. Ther are grounds for holding events in the establishment giving customers an opportunity to choose whether the event should be on-site or off-site.
Every time we go to Portland we have to eat at Nicholas Restaurant. The food is authentic the people working there are eager to help & make sure your meal is perfect. Thank you for being here. I would recommend it to everyone & I DO tell my friends heading over to Portland.. to go eat there.. They will not be sorry..We always went to the one at the inner part of Portland... That one is the best... don't know about the outer locations ....
We happened upon this restaurant yesterday and as I always like to try something new, we stopped for a bite. We had the stuffed grape leaves (they were the best I have ever had), along with the Tabouli salad, Peach Lassi, Cheesecake, and rice pudding. The food was delicious. I brought 2 kids with me and was uncertain if they would enjoy these foods they were not used to, but they relished the fresh baked pita and Peach Lassi. Thanks for the great experience! We will be back.
