Went today for a medical condition my doctor couldn't diagnose, Doc Gelb knew exactly what it was and prescribed the proper meds, plus a follow up for a recheck. She's my new Optometrist for sure now. Staff was also very professional, friendly and accommodating. Awesome, all around experience. I feel like I'm in great hands. Happy patient.
Every staff member I interacted with was professional yet friendly. The office seemed to run efficiently: I was seen a few minutes before my appointment time and had brief waits between multiple services within the same visit (like waiting for the dilation eye drops to take effect). The receptionist called my insurance company for me and was able to let me know exactly what was (and was not) covered. It is always great to know exactly what you have to pay for when walking out of a doctor's office.

Foulkes Vision is an eye care centre located in Chicago. The center specializes in Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis (LASIK) and cataract removals having performed more than 48,000 LASIK surgeries and more than 20,000 cataract procedures. The facility also offers lens implants, as well as treatment for glaucoma, dry eye, keratoconus and diabetic eye care. Dr. Richard Foulkes, the facility’s founder and operator is skilled in eye care and a hand-on LASIK surgeon. This office is great, and the entire staff is very welcoming! I had my Lasik surgery performed last week and everything has been going well so far, it's super fast by the way. Dr. Foulkes is very nice with a quirky sense of humor and explained everything to me during the procedure. Joyce was great to communicate with over e-mail and answered all questions/concerns very quickly. Would highly recommend!
Dr. Foulkes is amazing! They have an execellent staff who takes care of you from the minute you walk in, until the minute you're done with your visit. You are in excellent hands working with Dr. Foulkes and his staff. You will not be disappointed!
The staff here are all wonderful. I was very pleased to be working with Joyce on scheduling as well as answering my questions through email. The procedure was incredibly easy and I am already encouraging family and friends to go through with LASIK. Money was no concern to me because they offer CareCredit and the option to pay it off in 12 months. The best part about the process was Dr. Foulkes instructing me on what he was doing, what it should feel like, how long it will take, as well as giving many words of encouragement, with some wicked cool music in the background. The recovery time was so quick it was hard to believe! My next day follow-up was also pleasant because of my many other questions being answered. These people care.

Had a very good experience here. The doctor was quite a lot better I thought than doctors I have seen at the big chains. Very informative and seemed genuinely to care about my vision health. She took much longer than typical to make sure my prescription was the best possible for me. It was not just a numbers game for her, get them in and get them out ASAP like I have experienced other places. The staff were also friendly and caring. I also really liked that everyone would stop after a few statements and say "Do you have any questions?" They are technology friendly with the latest equipment, including a new device to replace the dreaded puff tester. Give them a try if you aren't happy where you are going now.
Basically my first time ever getting an eye exam at the age of 25 (lol) but couldn't have asked for a better experience. The whole staff, from beginning to end, were amazing, welcoming, informative, and overall personable. I would and already have recommended this clinic to friends and family. Wonderful experience. Great Staff. Dr. Slusky is a true master of her craft. I'd recommend her to anyone seeking eyeware, contacts, and more importantly health information about vision. I was also impressed with the selection of frames and they also had my unique contact prescription on-site which was great. Highly recommend Dr. Slusky.
Marketplace Vision is one of the best optometrists in Chicago. Some of the servicers offered at the centre include treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye, diabetes eye problem and macular degeneration. The facility also conducts examinations and treatment for sport vision issues, and pediatric eyecare in addition to dealing with numerous eyewear. In collaboration with the Kraff Eye Institute, Marketplace Vision also handles LASIK and other laser vision correctional procedures. The facility has two qualified and skilled optometrists, Dr. Toader and Dr. Baas who are good in preventive eye care.
Admin staff (front desk, ordering, etc.): Never have to wait much at all, and what I have found at many places, is that you can tell that the administrative staff are not engaged, and are only there for the paycheck. Not the case here...always greeted with a smile, and willing to go out of their way to help you. Clinical staff: always more than willing to explain things to you, and are honest about the need for various tests, etc (where they could presumably make a couple bucks by not doing so). The way I would sum it up is that everyone there clearly enjoys what they are doing and the environment they are in, which is really refreshing. Also, I love that you can make and adjust appointments online. This may be industry standard at this point (not sure because I haven't been elsewhere in a few years), but it definitely was not when I first started going here.
I generally have a very difficult time shopping for glasses. The shape of my head doesn't go well with most frames... I usually end up going to 10 different stores trying on dozens of frames before finding a pair or 2 that I like. When I do find ones I like, the sales staff is rude or the prices are somehow higher than MSRP or some other drawback. Then when I finally get everything in line, I get an exam from some hurried up emotionless Dr. and I worry that my prescription will be correct. If this sounds like you, I just saved you a week or 2 of shopping. Go to Marketplace Vision. All of the staff I dealt with was fantastic. Dr. Toader was the friendliest, most informative, personable examiner I've had yet. She got me to 20/15 vision with glasses! They have state of the art equipment, no dilating eye drops, poofs of air, etc. too. You can tell the difference in an establishment when you're dealing with the owners vs minimum wage staff. And in the end, I ended up getting 3 pairs of glasses for what others quoted me for 2. Same frames!! 5 stars
I visited Marketplace Vision after not having had new glasses or contacts in 8 years and I was blown away by their friendliness and professionalism. I needed a much stronger prescription and Dr. Gobel went out of his way to triple check the pupillary distance by hand so my lenses were cut exactly right. Staff members Marius and Tiffany were wonderful to work with as well. They helped me pick frames and were really knowledgeable when I had questions. Highly recommend!

Dr. Pelini's staff is delightful and helpful. She is very knowledgeable ,and once identified a problem with my retina. She was able to make an appointment with a specialist for the very next day for the required procedures to repair the retina right away. I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Stacy Beute, the optometrist has been practicing for more than 15 years and she has handled thousands of patients with complicated eye problems. She handles LASIK procedures in collaboration with the Kraff Eye Institute.
This place... I went to a different place to get my exam, but I felt the customer service was lacking, so I found this gem ala Google reviews. Those reviews did not disappoint. Nina was so helpful and really listened to what I wanted and what fit my really really strong rx. The process was easy and she even called the terrible eye store I went to previously to do my dirty work! I ended up with some slight sat eye glasses within a week and a half, and I honestly can't stop pretending I'm Narcissus while I'm looking in the mirror!
