Julian Jenkins, the founder of Jenkins Photography has been in the trade since 1990. He obtained his education in photojournalism in Los Angeles and has been a wedding photographer since 1996. Kristin Jenkins has been part the second photographer at the business since 1997 and is highly skilled and talented in her work. The company has two more photographers and they all major on events. The photographers are members of the National Press Photographers Association and the Press Photographers Association of Greater Los Angeles.
Julian was a joy to work with. He had teaser photos up on this page the night of the wedding and our final ones about two weeks later. They turned out better than we were hoping for. He was engaging, personable, humorous, reasonably priced, and professional. I recommend him for any occasion!
Julian was nothing short of amazing! If I could give him 100 stars, I would! We planned our wedding in Boise from our home in Virginia, so when our original photographer backed out after our last trip to the area before the wedding, we were worried to say the least. After looking at probably a hundred wedding photography websites, he immediately made the short list just by the fact that his pricing was actually listed on his website. We scheduled a phone call with him and he spoke to us for over an hour (during a holiday weekend, no less!) and we knew immediately that he was the one. He was even kind enough to schedule a meet-and-greet with us the week of our wedding once we got into town. Again, he chatted with us for over an hour. He gave us all kinds of tips and tricks to keep in mind on the big day and we reviewed the schedule that he had created for us again. That day of the wedding he was great. We laughed and joked and had the best time taking pictures with him. It was important to us that the day not feel stuffy and he went right along with that. He posted a sneak peek album that was straight from the camera on facebook the night of the wedding after he left and the pictures were amazing. It was so nice to not have to wait weeks to see any of the professional pictures. I wanted to use a couple of the sneak peek pictures for our thank you notes and asked him if it was possible for him to remove the watermark for me just for those few pictures and he obliged and did it that same day. We just got all of our pictures back yesterday and they are so incredible. Looking at them was like reliving the whole day. He got great pictures without being in the way. He really captured some special moments all while making sure to not interfere with the flow of the day.
