CalState movers moved us from Palm Spring to San Jose in a matter of a week’s time. This included the packing, loading, transport, set-up and all of this was done cleanly and with a fixed price option. The company was honest in telling us the insurance related reimbursement in case there would be any damage. We however did not have any, so all I can say is that started well ended well and it would be difficult to choose from the number of moving companies out there. CalState movers is the best I have experienced and I would recommend them for the same reason.
I have never found a relocation company so wonderful like CalState. Their services are so smooth. I must admit that their relocation crew comprises humble and understanding people. I had an easy time dealing with them during the relocation. They agreed with nearly every suggestion I put across during the relocation. I showed them how to arrange my house after they were done with offloading and there was no complaint. I was also amazed by their willingness in following orders from their coordinator. We needed it moved up 3 sets of uneven stone steps and then into a large caged area, all vertical, finally laid flat into the cage. These guys were great! They got it up just a little ways, stopped to assess the situation, moved it farther, assessed again, even built a ramp on-the-fly, when it was needed. Little by little, it progressed all of the way and safely got to where it needed to go!

We hired the movers area to move from one condo to another within the same building. They arrived on time, and we had no issues with them moving items. We only used them to move the furniture and heavier items. They had to move some very heavy items, and nothing was broken. They were efficient with their time, and were very friendly.
