Green Yogi is modest in size but space has enough airflow that leaves the clients awed at the magnificence. It has two studios one in Manhattan Beach and another in Berkeley and both offer high-energy music-filled vinyasa classes all week long. They offer classes in prenatal yoga, restorative and meditation classes. The studio over the years has been awarded numerous awards for the best studio for its cleanliness and excellent customer service. The team is highly skilled in matters of yoga and is the first studio to go paperless.
We've been going here two or three times a week for four months as our first experience with yoga, and it's really working well for us. Clean, spacious studio, friendly folks and a variety of good instructors - try them all and you'll find the ones that match what you want to do. We started with the milder Relaxation classes, and then shifted to the Power Vinyasas and we're slowly getting better. Laid-back atmosphere, not too much crystal rubbing stuff. Recommended!
Amazing power flow yoga studio. Wonderful teachers, a clean peaceful space and classes that are thoughtfully taught but are also an incredible workout. I look forward to every class I take here!
The outstanding services at their studios are quite impressive. A spa that offers acupuncture, massage, and facial is also available making it a full-service studio with an integrative medicine consultation. Yoga styles taught at YogaKula comprise of Forest, Iyengar, Anusara, Ashtanga, and Restorative Yoga. Teacher training on all levels inclusive of an advanced level of 300 hours is given at the studio in Berkeley. They have gone an extra mile by developing an interactive application that is downloadable on Android and iPhone.
Love this studio! Small intimate and the best teachers I have ever experienced. Highly recommended to try Garace Edmund's class, it's a true deep journey of an experience - best yoga classes I have ever took. THANKS Yoga Kula for the great work!
I tried this place out during my travels in California. I've done a class with @juliaalexander and was so impressed. I've been practising yoga for over 20 years with some of the best teaches our tgere and have found Julia's style authentic and heart opening. This studio is such a friendly place, I really felt part of community the moment I stepped in. I highly recommend it.
With a wide array of styles used to practice yoga, teachers at Nandi have the policy to teach what they practice and practice what they preach. Their range of classes makes it even a better yoga studio with beginner lessons for novices and advanced classes and workshops for the highly skilled. Their reputation has grown due to their availability of kids, adults and family classes inflow, Iyengar, yin, prenatal/postnatal styles.
I've been practicing at Nandi for 6+ years because they were the only studio in the area with prenatal classes (which are awesome). I stayed for the beautiful space, fantastic instructors and great schedule. The studio has a wide range of classes so you can easily find the best one (s) to fit your needs. Wendy and Jeremy are two of my favorites but you cannot go wrong at Nandi - in my experience, they have some of the most skilled instructors around!
I started at Nandi when Wendy opened the studio 7 years ago, and I've been grateful for the space she has created and the team of teachers (and visiting teachers) she has assembled. Classes are small without overcrowding and allow for teachers to know students individually. I've visited 40 different studios in the course of my practice and I rate Nandi among the best for the inviting aesthetic (great studio space, comfortable changing rooms with showers, etc), skilled and personalized instruction, and schedule of some of the area's best teachers.
Kate Coughlin founded the studio in 2002 and it has since conducted over 20,000 classes to thousands of people. Downtown Yoga located in Pleasanton has won the Yoga Alliance Registered Toga Studio. It has classes seven days a week and its classes accommodate people of all ages including children. The two studios hold over 45 classes per week and are open from as early as 6 AM to 730 PM. The studio holds workshops and events for its clients every now and then. They charge $89 per month for unlimited yoga and $20 for two classes. Innerstellar
The best yoga classes I have ever taken. The best part? All of their instructors are so knowledgeable and experienced, but each has a different style of teaching. Kathleen is very technical and explains things in such detail. Jim is hilarious and will walk around correct your pose if needed. Marilyn, there is no better instructor after a really long, stressful week because she gets you to slow down and unwind. You come here and instantly feel at home. Everyone is so kind and friendly. I love this place.
I've been coming here for almost 3 years on and off and I'm never disappointed. They have something for everyone! I started in the prenatal classes, went with both pregnancies, but I've tried the intermediate, beginner, and restorative classes as well. I love the classes with Kate and Jim but all the instructors are very good. I only wish I had time to go more often, but I'm trying to make the time now. A treat to make it twice this week!
The full-service yoga studio in Berkeley specializes in chronic pain and injuries with yoga and Pilates classes. A Certified Yoga Instructor who is also a Certified Level 5 Forest Yoga Teacher owns it. Innerstellar has private instruction, workshops, body works and nutrition, acupuncture teacher training, and therapy coaching and all at competitive rates. The most potent styles are used such as Forest Yoga, and their own invention stellar flow.
I was visiting Oakland for the month and was fortunate to find Interstellar. I took Forest Basics with Kiki and Abbie, and Stellarflow Basics with Marie, and was uniformly impressed with the quality of instruction. I have been taught how to go from plank to cobra to downward facing dog many many times. This time it made perfect sense :-)
I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to attend the empowered empaths teachers training there with Kiki Lovelace. I have walked away feeling more connected to my mind, body and spirit. Also, she has taught priceless life essential skills that are improving my quality of life.
The studio is family owned and for the past five years, Brooklyn Academy Roots has offered its services to the citizens of Oakland. The targeted, balanced, and revelatory center has exclusive services that teach more about one’s body. Their training includes slow flow detox yoga, yoga flow, core Pilates springboards, Prenatal Pilates, Reality-Based Self-Defense, and Muay Thai Conditioning, and. Their classes are categorized into three and they are challenging but they give a good result.
The studio is right by my house, very convenient. The space is petite which is great for small groups. Last time I had a springboard sculpt class with Jaclyn. She was very patient and knowledgeable. I'll definitely be back for another class with her!
Just took my first class here and loved it. I rarely enjoy yoga or other led fitness classes, but Jaclyn (sp?) was patient with me as a newcomer and gave us options for beginners and more advanced Pilates. I plan to come back soon.
