Jeff Slack is the owner and founder of the tattoo shop on Garrison Avenue, Fort Smith, AR. His associates are Marcus and Brandy, both of whom are talented differently but complement each other’s styles. The three artists, however, specialize in custom designs and draw each client’s ideas to bring out the personality and style. Other styles that they are skilled at are traditional and neotraditional, tribal tattoos, coverups, black work, surrealism and many other styles.
Jeff did a great job of taking my ideas and turning them into a great tattoo! He's extremely efficient and his lines were perfect. I have six pcs now, done by a few different artist but the one Jeff did healed much better than any of my other ones. I was so impressed that I've already booked another session and I'm sure many more.
I had talked to Brandy on the phone one day, and went in a couple of days later. I love this place. I was a walk in but Brandy did my ink right then. Prices are very reasonable and i booked an appt for the next day.
The shop with specialty body modification services is one of a kind in the Fort Smith area. Initially, the parlor only provided piercing and scarification services but later on it partnered with White Rabbit Tattoo Parlor to include tattoo services. The two tattoo artists are usually booked out for several months on end hence a need for patrons to make earlier bookings and appointments to get the service. The styles offered are numerous and there’s no limit as to what style the artists can do.

Great customer service & VERY clean! Chris Johnson did my first tattoo & it turned out amazing! He drew my design up himself & made it 100X better than my original idea. He was nice & professional which helped my nerves! My tattoo is healing perfectly. I can't recommend him enough!!

Mr. Kennedy did a great job on my first tattoo. I will continue to employ his artistic service in the future. I presented him with a very crude and rough idea and he transformed or into an awesome tattoo. It was 5 ???? work at a reasonable cost.

Both the tattoo and piercing experts conform with policies and regulations set by the health department to protect the safety of the clients. Some tattoo styles practiced at the establishment include custom tattoos, portrait, coverups, black and gray, water color, black work, colored ink, and many more modern styles.

True Grit Tattoo Parlor was founded by Crissie Clegg who opened the joint in 2000. Her area of specialization is in cover ups of previously done tattoos. She is the only artist in the 10th Street-based shop in Fort Smith, AR. A look at her art gallery speaks of pure talent and creativity as she is able to bring out designs in an artistic flair. Crissie is a member of the Arkansas Body Modification Association, National Tattoo Association, and Alliance of Professional Tattooists. The artists services are affordable and works only with appointments considering she is the only artist.
A professionally run studio by a very dynamic lady!! Crissie has paid her dues in the tattoo trade and is a huge step above the common tattooer. Creative, insightful, caring...it doesn't get better!! Remember, you get what you pay for. You have ONE body, decorate it well and safely.
