Dr. Ivy Engstrom the lead vet at A Valley Animal Hospital has been among the best vets in Auburn Washington since she started practicing veterinary medicine in the late 1990’s. Services provided include MSL Laser Therapy, microchip, nutritional counselling, dietary products, boarding, emergency cases, as well as travelling and general examination care. Dr. Engstrom received her veterinary degree from Washington State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. Candi, the receptionist, joined the hospital in 2011 while Taylor is a licensed veterinary technician.
Dr Ivy has been nothing but wonderful. Candy while at first very straight forward has the biggest heart. April takes her time to get to know you and your pets name and remembers them. I have an epileptic Aussie and Dr Ivy told me 3 options for treatment what the pros and cons and never made me feel like I was alone. Rven now after every big seizure he has when I call they are very compassionate. All 4 of my animals go there and when I moved I make the longer drive to see her. All of the staff, especially Dr Ivy, have their quirks and you always leave with a smile. Best vet I have ever been to.
Dr. Engstrom and her staff took really good care of our cat when she needed dental work. They were also much more reasonably priced than some other clinics.

It took a little longer than I expected but that’s okay. Excellent care and nice staff. Only place that was open and took in my reptile. Would go there again.
The staff and Dr. Brown were friendly and helpful. They treated my dog for constantly urinating, which ended up being UTI. They gave an antibiotic shot and prescribed some medicine. She's doing much better now and I feel like I got out of the door cheaper than from my normal vet

I have never been so happy with a vets office. I am now on my 3rd dog with them and they never disappoint. They seem to have a low turn over rate because every time I come in or call it’s the same staff that helps me. They are prompt, kind and friendly and make me feel like my pets and our concerns truly matter. Thank you for being such a great place for our family to come.
Awesome doctors and staff. Really cared about my visit. Doctor knew her stuff and didnt try to make me feel bad for not purchasing dental care. They did a nail trim as well for my chi, he was ok with it!!

Dr. Eric graduated from Washington State University with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1974. He works together with Dr. Heather Cullom who graduated from Royal College of Veterinary Medicine and Dr. Kimo Jow who received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University. Both Dr. Kimo and Dr Eric are members of the Auburn Valley Humane Society. There is also a group of qualified assistants and veterinary technicians.
