Frankie Andrade Mestas, the owner of Blue Jay Tattoo, a Rio Rancho-based tattoo studio has been tattooing since 2005. He works with two other skilled tattooists. The team is proficient in different tattooing styles such as color, black, grey, traditional and portraits among others. Frankie is also good with letterings and handwritten scripts. Blue Jay Tattoo is keen to offer effective aftercare and education to their clients. The facility does not offer piercings or jewelry. Besides English, the artists also speak Spanish and welcome walk-ins.

Went to Blue Jay Tattoo with a design that needed a bit of finishing. Bianca took my idea and put it on paper. This tattoo was very important because it was sort of a memorial to my hedgehog Pixie, who we lost in February. She did an amazing job. I will certainly go back for more.

My experience was far better than i expected. This was my first tattoo and I was nervous about having my first tattoo looking poorly done especially since it was quite intricate in my opinion. To make things even trickier I wanted a permanent scar covered up without distorting the tattoo. I just have to say 10/10 on every aspect the quality was AMAZING! and with the hospitality to match! Jon worked wonders for my first tattoo and he will be my go to for more to come! I can't wait to show everyone what he can do once its colored in!

Super clean not only in the lobby but also in each artist's rooms! They always give free touch ups. The coolest part was that they let my 7 year old daughter in the room to watch. Super friendly with great artists and Wesson prices. I will be going here for my next few tattoos
